About the KonMari Method®
The KonMari Method was developed by Marie Kondo who is a tidying expert, bestselling author and star of Netflix’s hit show, “Tidying Up With Marie Kondo.” The method encourages tidying by category – not by location – beginning with clothes, then moving on to books, papers, komono (miscellaneous items), and finally, sentimental items.
Keep only those things that speak to the heart. Discard items that no longer spark joy by letting them go with gratitude.
Tidying your home using the KonMari Method is a once-in-a-lifetime project – truly tidy your home once, you’ll never have to do it again. Tidying up is powerful, enriching your life experience.
Yumiko is based in London, UK. She offers in-home and virtual sessions via Zoom, which allows us to work together without geographical limitations.

Tidying Festival Packages
A package is suitable for people who are committed to working on all the 5 categories: clothes, books, papers, komono (miscellaneous) and sentimental Items and also who are ready to transform not only their home but also their life. The overview of each session is:
• work on one category at a time in the order of clothes, books, papers, komono (miscellaneous) and sentimental items
• do joy check on each item, keeping only the items that spark joy for you
• sort and organise the items
3 hours vs. 5 hours
If you’re motivated to work on your own between sessions throughout the tidying festival, 3-hour session is suitable for you.
6 sessions vs. 10 sessions
If you live in a bigger house or own many things, a 10 session package is recommended.
A single session is suitable for people who want to learn the basics of the KonMari Method and work on one of the 5 categories: clothes, books, papers, komono (miscellaneous) and sentimental Items.

Do I need to tidy up before our sessions together?
No. However, if we’re going to be working on your clothes, please do laundry before the session but you don’t need to fold the clothes.
Do you tidy my space without me?
No. The KonMari Method™ is a personal process based on what brings you joy and your ideal lifestyle, therefore your presence is required.
Is the KonMari Method the same as minimalism?
No. The KonMari Method encourages you to keep items that spark joy and does not place any limits on the number of items you have in your home.
Do I need to buy any additional storage or organizational items?
No. After finishing all categories, we will finalise with storage. Most of my clients used storage items or boxes that they already owned.
